Sacramento Renfree Park Clean-Up
On Saturday, June 23rd, Sacramento Knights collaborated with the communities around Renfree Park for a clean-up and beautification session! We were lucky enough to work alongside people like Councilmember Rick Jennings and Parks Commissioner Devin Lavelle to collect litter and help with landscaping improvements.
When asked about the importance of the event, Councilmember Jennings (previously an Oakland Raider who helped win Super Bowl XI!) had this to say:
It is important for today’s youth to get involved in maintaining our parks and communities as they are the future. We want our children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren to look back and talk about the history of these parks and communities while still having something to show for them. It’s all about the future; we have to do right for our future generations.
We definitely agree with Councilmember Jennings, and Knighted is proud to be part of a community that puts others first!
Surfrider Foundation Ventura Beach Clean-Up
Over the weekend, our Knights from the Players Casino had some fun in the sand at the Surfrider Foundation Beach Clean-Up! Partnering with local Ventura businesses, Knighted combed through Surfers Point at Seaside Park to pick up litter and debris, making the beach a safer and more beautiful area for visiting families. The Surfrider Foundation has been a staple in Ventura since the early 1990’s, and we can’t wait to enjoy the beach with our coworkers and friends this summer!
Leadership Seminar 10: LA Kitchen Event
Knights from around California joined us for our 10th Leadership Seminar in Los Angeles. While our team members were given an opportunity to develop their leadership skills, they were also able to give back to the local community. Sometimes to be a better leader, you need to learn how to serve first!
The servant-leader is servant first… It begins with the natural feeling that one wants to serve, to serve first.

In collaboration with LA Kitchen, our Knights spent the morning dicing, peeling, and preparing food for underserved LA communities. We were even lucky enough to try some of the fruits of our labor — literally! — since we were able to sample mangos! Our fellow Knight’s had a blast learning techniques from LA Kitchen’s in-house chefs – don’t worry they were all briefed on knife safety!
Thank you to our fellow Knights for giving back to our community by helping feed those in need!
